Glyn Nightingale has lived on Ormesby Bank for 45 years and has represented the ward for 36 years. He has an economics degree from the University of York and finished his career as head of the Humanities & International Studies faculty at Teesside Tertiary College. He was parliamentary candidate in the 1980s and has served as the Council’s cabinet member for Corporate Resources. Most recently, he secured funding for the newly build Ormesby Library and Community Hub and historically was instrumental in the establishment of Nunthorpe Sixth Form College.
